Synthetic biology is an emerging direction within NBIIC-HI's innovation framework. Our recent work on engineering protease-resistant peptides using non-canonical amino acids provides an academic foundation for future programs in peptide engineering, bioengineering, and translational biotechnology.
This work was developed through academic collaboration among the International Institute of Synthetic Biology-Canada, NBIIC-HI, and Tianjin University of Science and Technology, highlighting the potential for cross-border research collaboration in emerging biotechnology fields.
