The International Institute of Synthetic Biology — Canada (IISB) is an emerging synthetic biology initiative currently incubated and supported through the NBIIC-HI international collaboration platform.
IISB is being developed as a specialized platform for international research collaboration, talent connection, academic exchange, and translational opportunities in synthetic biology and biomanufacturing.
Potential areas of interest include microbial engineering, metabolic pathway development, non-canonical amino acids, enzyme and biosynthesis platforms, engineered biological systems, and research-oriented biomanufacturing.
IISB remains under development, and specific programs and partnerships will be introduced progressively as its scientific and institutional network expands.
Collaborative opportunities involving computational biology, medical data analysis, predictive modelling, digital tools, and responsible artificial intelligence applications in healthcare and biomedical research.
Developing programs connecting molecular mechanisms, biomarkers, patient stratification, therapeutic response, clinical evidence, and personalized healthcare strategies.
